26 years after the inaugural seminar was founded by the late James and Sanda Ashe, the Taylor Ashe Antivenom Foundation and GSI are thrilled to announce the return of the biennial East African Snakebite Conference at Turtle Bay Beach Club in Watamu, Kenya, on Friday 29th September and Saturday 30th September, 2023 from 9am to 5pm EAT.
In-person speakers and attendees are invited to join us on Thursday the 28th at 4pm at the Watamu Snake Farm for a special tour and dedication ceremony of the farm’s new serpentarium and venom collection laboratory. A welcome reception hosted by GSI follows at Ocean Sports at 6:00pm – Pls RSVP to ali@taaf-eastafricanreptiles.org by 21st September for this event. PLUS…stay for an extra day and join the Watamu Snake Farm team on Sunday 1st October for a variety of field events – from a snake safari to a rural community education event.
